Hobbies

These are three things that I enjoy doing! 2024

Pokémon Cards

I have been collecting Pokémon Cards for a long while, and still is collecting them. The chance that you may get something worth a lot makes me want to open more and more.

Basketball

Since 2nd grade, I have been playing basketball. I got into it because I first started playing soccer when I first tried sports, but I didn’t like it very much. Then I switched to basketball and after dribbling a basketball in my hand, I felt like I had more control over it. After that, my dad started coaching me, so I started playing more and more.

Video Games

I started playing video games at a very young age. After being exposed to more and more of them, I started to be a little addicted. My favorite games I play are Pokémon games and adventure games.

Pokémon Cards

How do you know a Pokémon card is worth a lot?

People have created helpful websites that allow you to check price ranges according to the condition of the card. These websites include TCG (Trading Card Game), CGC (Certified Guaranty Company), PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator) and Price Charts. Other companies also grade cards, although they don’t specialize in it, like Game Stop.

How are Pokémon Cards graded?

Grades range from a PSA 1 to a PSA 10 Black Label. The way these cards are graded (not just Pokémon Cards) includes the

  • Centering of the drawing or picture
  • Condition of the corners (if they are roughed out or ripped)
  • Condition of the edges
  • Surface (if there are smudges or ink missing)

What about my Pokémon Cards?

I have so many cards, it’s hard to count them all. the majority of them consists of low-priced cards from $0.01 to a few dollars. However, I have cards worth much more than just a few dollars. Some include the Eevee card from the set Twilight Masquerade 188/167 and the Pikachu card from the set Cosmic Eclipse 241/236. The prices for those cards are $180.00 PSA 10 (for Eevee) and 212.71 PSA 10 (for Pikachu)
